FAQ
OUR POLICY
The problem of pet-overpopulation is everywhere. To combat this problem, we have developed a system of priority to maximize our spay funds. The neediest are given priority, the pets of low income owners who cannot afford normal vet services are our first target.
Then we go by priority of animal:
Cats and larger breed female dogs — especially in heat or pregnant –
Small breed female dogs – Male dogs
NOTICE TO ALL MALE DOG PET OWNERS:
ALL MALE DOGS ARE ON STANDBY
Because we are birth control, all cats and female dogs are done first and if there is a pregnant female that we are not aware of ahead of time, it pushes all the other surgeries back. This can result in your dog getting bumped. If your pet gets bumped, you will be rescheduled on the next available clinic and he will be a priority and he will not get bumped a second time. The possibility of males getting bumped is roughly 3%.
DOGS/CATS NOT SUITABLE FOR SURGERY IN OUR MOBILE CLINIC:
- Pure-bred English, French Bull Dogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers or Pekingese
- Great Danes over 4 months old
- Female Dogs over 80 lbs
- Male Dogs over 90 lbs
- Crypt Orchid (only one testicle)
- Bilateral Crypt (no testicles dropped)
- Dogs 9 years old and over 40 lbs
- Dogs or cats over 11 years old and under 40 lbs
